I want to give a shout out to the fifth grade class of Carolyn Fritz for their incredible dog paintings. Ms Fritz is an elementary school art teacher in the San Juan Unified School District which is in the Sacramento, CA area. She used my art as inspiration for her class to create these remarkable paintings. Your talent inspires me. Way to go kids!
My name is Ron Burns and my passion is helping orphaned animals find their furever homes. I began painting my own dog, Rufus, almost 18 years ago and then quickly switched my focus to painting animals up for adoption at shelters and rescue groups across the country. For each piece of art I sell, a portion of the sale goes to various animal welfare organizations. I consider myself blessed to bring forth the best in each animal I paint, and I dream that one day there will be no more lonely and I-want-to-be-loved eyes looking at me from behind caged doors.
And, I love my family - Buff (my wife of many years and high school sweetheart), Loganberry (cute little black lab mix) and Emma (our newest, cute Rottie mix).
